Jewelry Trends for 2019
Fashion is forever changing, yet somehow certain trends come back while others stay behind and should never come back(I’m looking at you parachute pants and crocs with heels). Looking at all the fashion shows I couldn’t help but notice that this season mixed some styles from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
This years colors are Turmeric, Aspen Gold, Pink Peacock, Pepper Stem, Princess Blue and of course the color of the year, Living Coral. Needless to say, the runway had explosions of colors. Which I love!!
The 80’s definitely made a presence in the accessories, because they are bold, colorful and asymmetrical. A lot of the models wore a single earring, which reminded me of the look Madonna and Cyndi Lauper were rocking back in the day.
The accessories were a great addition to all the fabulous color and patterns, that were present on the runway for spring/summer 2019. Some pieces even reminded me of a Japanese art exhibit, that a friend invited me to see last November, at the Chicago Art Institute. I remember my friend saying that designers should be inspired by all the fabulous kimonos the geishas were wearing in the paintings.
I wonder if some designers saw the exhibit, because I saw several pieces in some collections that mixed a patterned skirt with a solid shirt. Similar to some patterns and colors the geishas from the Ukiyo-e collection where wearing. Some combinations immediately came to mind when I saw Dior’s collection.
There so many great things this season on the runways. But again we are here to look at the jewelry! So with out further ado, here are some of my favorite trends in bijoux for spring and summer of 2019. Enjoy!
